7Devs — LinkedIn Outbound Case Study
Ukrainian-led product development, outsourcing and staff augmentation for global tech companies.
Sector: Software Development · Markets: US, UK, Western Europe · Channels: LinkedIn
The challenge
Strong delivery track record but no structured outbound. Growth depended on freelance platforms and inbound referrals, with no predictable way to reach product companies in the US and UK.
What we did
- Mapped the ICP around product companies and scale-ups with active development needs: recent funding, senior engineering hires, and platform-level complexity.
- Researched each target account in Sales Navigator at company level first, then mapped the internal buying committee to identify CTOs, VP Engineering and Heads of Product.
- Rebuilt the founder's LinkedIn profile around delivered outcomes and engineering credibility so the sender surface matched the deal size being targeted.
- Every first message referenced a visible signal — a product launch, a hiring pattern, a tech-stack change — and asked directly for an introductory call. No templates.
- Follow-ups stayed relevant to the prospect's situation rather than the service being sold, protecting reply quality as volume scaled.
Method
- Researched each target company in Sales Navigator and mapped the full buying committee before any outreach.
- Wrote every first message from scratch around a specific account signal, with a clear ask for an introductory call.
- Kept follow-ups relevant to the prospect's context rather than repeating the agency pitch.
Outcome
In month two the founder reported the first traction from the programme. Early replies came from decision-makers at product companies and the pipeline moved from zero structured outbound to active, qualified conversations.
